Saankhya Techworks Pvt Ltd. ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Saveever mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
We collect the following categories of information:
Important – Do not upload confidential information: When scanning a receipt, please make sure the photo does not include any confidential personal information, such as your name, address, date of birth, or mobile number, or any financial information, such as your debit/credit card number, CVV, PIN, or other payment details. We are only interested in collecting the store address, items purchased, quantity, price, and date shown on the receipt. We are not responsible for any loss, misuse, or exposure of confidential or financial information that you choose to include in a scanned receipt, and you agree to indemnify us against any claim arising from information you chose to include.
We use the following third-party services to operate the App. Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms:
These providers may store data on servers located outside your country of residence. Where required, we and our providers rely on appropriate legal safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for such international transfers.
The App shows advertising, including rewarded video ads and banner ads, served through Google AdMob. Depending on your consent choices, ads may be personalized based on information such as your approximate location, device identifiers, and in-app activity, or non-personalized where you have not consented to personalization.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to present a consent form the first time it detects you are in one of these regions, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK's Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) / UK GDPR. Through this form you can choose whether to allow personalized advertising, and you can change your choice at any time from the App's Profile screen under "Ad Choices".
Outside the EEA/UK, similar controls may not be shown automatically, but you can still manage ad personalization through your device's own privacy settings (for example, "Limit Ad Tracking" / "Opt out of Ads Personalization" in your phone's settings, or Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS).
California residents: to the extent that sharing device identifiers with our advertising partner for personalized advertising is considered a "sale" or "share" of personal information under the CCPA/CPRA, you may opt out at any time using the ad-personalization controls described above, or by contacting us using the details in Section 12. We do not sell personal information for monetary payment.
You may earn reward points by watching optional rewarded advertisements. Points have no cash value, cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for currency, and may be used only for features we make available within the App from time to time. We may adjust the number of points awarded, or the features points can be redeemed for, at any time.
We retain your account and receipt data for as long as your account remains active, or as needed to provide the App's features.
Deleting a single receipt: removes the receipt, its image, and its item-level detail from your purchase history and from the App. For fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, and catalogue-integrity purposes, we keep a limited audit record of that receipt (store name, store category, purchase date, receipt number, currency, total amount, item count, and general purchase location — not the individual items or the photo) until you delete your account.
Deleting your account: from the Account screen permanently removes your profile, preferences, receipts, the audit records described above, and reward points balance from our active systems, subject to any copies retained in backups for a limited period (no more than 30 days) or as required by law (for example, tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention records).
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing (including personalized advertising, see Section 4). This includes rights available to you under the EU/UK GDPR, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), and applicable US state privacy laws. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12; we will respond within the time limits required by applicable law.
We use commercially reasonable administrative and technical safeguards (including those provided by Google Firebase) to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
The App is not directed to children under the age of 18, or the equivalent minimum age of consent to data processing in your jurisdiction (13 in some jurisdictions), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this document, and where required by law we will provide additional notice (such as an in-app notification). Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact us at contactsaveever@gmail.com.
